NASA has officially retired the space shuttle, but last summer the agency did launch a new venture. In collaboration with publisher Tor/Forge, NASA is commissioning sci-fi authors to write about the future of space travel, a low-cost way of exploring some far-out alternatives to obsolescence. [more]
