I Write Like

by Bill Hayes

I Write Like is a web site that claims to analyze “your word choice and writing style and” compare “them with those of . . .famous writers,” and then it tells you which famous writer you most resemble.

You must paste a few paragraphs on the site, and it immediately returns an answer. I posted three paragraphs from a Bill of Rights in Action on Confucius that I wrote, and the site told me I write like Kurt Vonnegut. I have no idea what that means, but I do know that this news might disturb one of our summer interns who hates Vonnegut. So it goes.
